We are having...

Well, after much anticipation, many "wives tales" of salt or sugar cravings, carrying high or low, fast or slow heart rate, the Chinese gender predictor calendars... we made it to 20 weeks of pregnancy and we are having... A BOY!!!! Wayne and I are thrilled beyond belief! So far beyond belief that we asked the tech 3 times "Are you sure?" before we allowed ourselves to be SUPER EXCITE!!!! No firm names as of yet, we are in collection and debate mode with the family :) But our baby boy will join us, April 10, a short 20 weeks!

Summer Time!

Summer time! It sounds like a fun time doesn't it! A break from our ordinary time... ice cream, swimming, and lazy HOT days. This summer was filled with fun, between jumping over the sprinkler, visitors from FL and GA and just some good ol' lazy days. Wayne and I took the girls to Schitterbahn Water Park in early June. This park was a ton of fun, it was so big we didn't even get to do the whole thing! But I love water parks so we had an awesome time! Payton thought one of the slides was Sleeping Beauties castle :) too cute! In July we had the our parents and the girls in. Can you say YAHTZEE! Many of nights were spent around the table shaking and rolling dice to see who would be call the "WINNER" :)  We also went to a Kenny Chesney concert in August! It was a awesome night for Wayne and I to have some couple time! But after all of this fun, I can tell you, I am ready for the cool days of Fall! I am done with the 100 degree days :) Come fall come!

Payton turned 2

Can you believe it... my baby turned 2! If you are shocked you can only imagine how shocked I am! It seems just like yesterday that she came into our world... and now... she is the ruler :) Two, what a year... she is demonstrating her independence, becoming her own little person and is totally not a baby anymore! For her birthday we were so lucky to have the girls, my parents and Wayne's parents come in and stay with us! This was the first trip for Wayne's parents out to Texas and my Dad's first time to come and stay in our house. The party was a bunch of fun! Payton's friends, Brock, Ryan, Trinity, Megan and Kaitlyn came to the pool with us for pizza rolls and cake! Did I mention that it was her dream cake? Princesses all over the thing! Turns out to have been a great buy... to this day... she is still playing with all the figurines :) Overall, this little girl got totally spoiled with gifts, love, family and friends!

Big Things Happen

Big things happen pretty quick when we are little. All within two weeks, Payton has gotten excited about going potty. Thanks to Payton's friend Gracie and Dum Dum pops we are officially potty training!
Our little girl, is not so little any more. If you ask her, "Are you a baby..." She will respond, "No, I'm a big girl!"
How true! Another friend let us barrow their toddler bed and... Payton LOVES it! We talked it up while we took down her crib and she is all smiles about it! Plus, now Malcolm can join her, which is a wonderful thing for Payton... not so much for Malcolm :)
Don't blink, she will be in College soon!!!

Our Trip to Florida

At then end of May we took a trip to our parent's houses in Florida. We had 11 days to visit our favorite people and places that we miss out here in Texas.
The first couple of days we spent with Jessica's family. Wayne and I got to sneak out for a date (what is that ;) ) and we had an awesome family day at the beach. It was PERFECT... not hot, not cool just enough clouds to make it perfect. They guys played ball, Cayden, Payton, Kendall and Taylor played in the sand and the rest of us got caught up on the latest funny stories.
Next we headed off to visit our friends Carmen and Danielle. It had been a long time since we saw them and it felt good to catch up. Next, we visited with Wayne's parents Bill and Jeanne. It was Bill's 70th birthday! We had an awesome time with both of them. Everyone got some good qulity time with eachother. Payton learned how to play yahtzee. Wayne took me on ANOTHER DATE!!! We went to the opening night of Sex and the City... very satisfying :) On our way home we stopped by Todd and Michelle's house and then back to Karen and Dennis's before all 5 of us flew home to Texas. The girls got to come with us. We had another week of fun back here with tennis matches, bounce houses, cookouts and shopping.

The Girls Came!

YEAH!!! The girls finally got to come back out to TX for Spring Break!
We have been keeping them busy with Aggie games (football, softball, baseball and tennis too). Plus going to eat at some of Wayne's and mine favorite places! Both Kendall and Taylor agree, Chicken Oil has the best burgers ever! Payton is beside herself with her sisters here... she wakes up and says... "wake tayder." She has been showing the girls around to her favorite places too, the park, her little people in her room and we are going after everyone wakes up from their naps... to the bounce! This place has nothing but bounce houses... can you say... FUN! Payton loves her sisters!!!

As many of you know, the death of my 20's was this month. The careless and resposibility free times have all come to an end... and so did my 11 yr. old Nissan Sentra. Dusty was his name, he and I drove through my college yrs. together. He was my little car that could, trusty and reliable. Well a few days after my birthday, he just gave up. So life to my 30's brought a new car... yes, gulp, a mini van! The responsible, for a family and runs to the grocery store kind of car. Yes friends, it is official, I am 30!
But this mini van is no, average baby mobile! It is the coolest thing I have ever owned! Our new Chrysler Town and Country Signature Touring van is actually pretty darn cool. Room for 7, 13 cup holders (that is 1.75 for each person :) ), storage under the seats, a keyless entry, auto start from the keychain to cool the car in the summer, 3 DVD screens, 2 players, a spot for Wayne and the girls to plug in their Play Station, a backup camera, tailgating seats (or a baby changing station as I call it), a flash light built in, and the most awesome radio ever! The radio is an actual computer. I can save my CD's into the hard drive and never have the the CD with me again. It has Sirus radio, FM, AM, CD and DVD abilities. Needless to say, transportation is like 3rd on the list!
It drives like a dream and has tons of safety featurs! Ladies and Gentleman, I welcome my 30's and can't wait to see what else they bring!

If Only I Knew

Ok, last month I got my long hair cut short like Victoria Beckham's. Cute cut right! Well, my stylist was "very hungry," so she stated and the cut got a little messed up. By the time I got home, I had decided that it was not good. Thank God for my Mother's hidden talent, she is a closet stylist! So after an afternoon of deciding just where Mandie's hunger messed up my hair, Mom set her scissors to work and fixed my hair! Alright, now you are asking... what is the point to this blog?

Well, yesterday I was in Target and saw a flat iron and decided to try it out. I have been using my large curl brush since I was in College and have never known any better way. I guess it is kind of like getting stuck in the "big bangs" style of the 90's or the "blue eye shadow" from the 80's. So, I took the leap of faith! Thanks to Todd and Michelle's birthday gift card... I now LOVE MY HAIR again! If only I knew the key to this more modern style was the flat iron!!! Welcome to 2008, right!

Texas Blue Bonnets

When we moved here a couple of months ago, we did not know what spring would bring for us... much to our surprise, we found that the Blue Bonnets come out in the spring! Who knew that Texas was such a great state! It makes me more and more happy we moved here. I will have to take pictures of the road sides, they cover the hills with this beautiful blue haze!
On the way back from the Blue Bell Ice Cream tour, Payton and I stopped along the road to take a picture of these stunning flowers! I have been told that they are just starting to come out and in a couple more weeks, they will be in fulll bloom! Can't wait to see God beauty!

Easter

What a blessed Easter we had this year. We started the lent season off with a cold and wet winter, where things were very bleak. And on the day the Lord was placed in his tomb, our life started getting better! The Texas Blue Bonnets are in full bloom and so is our life again. Easter has really been a transforming season for us this year. We spent a lot of time reading the Bible and studying God's words. It is amazing what He can reviel when you are paying attention! I truely believe that God brought us here to Texas for a renewed life in him. We have experienced nothing but wonderful things here.
Payton had a great season as well. We went to an Easter egg hunt a few weeks before where she saw the bunny come in on a fire truck. From then on, she stated "Bunny, bunny!" when we talked about eggs! She had a blast with egg hunts and going to church all dressed up.
Hope you had a blessed Easter as well. God sure can work in your life if you let him lead you!

Much love, Jessica

Florida Trip

In March Payton and I got to fly home to Florida and spend some good time with our family. Bill and Jeanne drove in and we spent a good amount of time visiting Todd, Michelle and the boys. At one point, Payton had all four grandparents to herself and was offered chocolate milk, donuts and was being pampered to her every need. In fact, Wayne told me to bring an empty suit case because between, everyone, she ended up with a new wardrobe!
Payton enjoyed an afternoon in the park with her Grandma and Dad-Dad. She loves playing with them! And with her Gigi and Papa, she got to got to Dairy Kurl!!! Need I say more!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Shiny Shoes and Big Hats

Payton has taken to being a girl on a new level. She has discovered how much fun it is to dress up! Notice, even Malcolm, the dog, was involved in the afternoon of fun! Taylor gave her some light up shiny shoes in which she loves to clomp around the house in, braclets, noodle necklaces and don't forget the purse and hat! She had a great time and I got loads of laughs.
Hope you enjoy the picture.

Big baby

Check it out... Sunday night dinner was cuter then ever!

First Timer

Hello all -
OK, my Mom told me that I should Blog! I must admit, though I am still in my 20's (for 2 more months). I feel a little intimidated!
I read some other spots.. must admit they are very cute! So I will try to keep my blogs witty :)
Our family... Larson ladies plus two. Us ladies dominate this house. We out number the men... poor guys! When the house is full, it lines up 4 women to 2 men. First there is I, Momma, then Kendall, Taylor and Payton. The men remain Wayne and Malcolm the dog!
